A second edition was printed this same year, but without the woodcut title-page. Not more than five editions were printed before the year 1600, all of which are rare, and apart from their value as literary treasures, they are very important, because they contain passages relating to the private lives and practices of the clergy which are suppressed from most of the modern editions.
